Every month, we like to highlight a few of our exceptional staff and give them a chance to share more about themselves and what they enjoy most about being a part of Concentrix Catalyst. This week, we shine a light on Vikram Bahadur Singh, a Senior Principal Consultant at Concentrix Catalyst.

Tell us a little about yourself.

My brother was working in IT (Infosys) and I was infatuated with it and so I moved to IT. I have spent nearly 17 years now in IT. I started with IBM when IBM was known as Tata-IBM Ltd. and had less than 400 employees. Almost two decades later, I am now married with three kids. Parenting and working keep me busy. My “me” time is spent in the early mornings sipping tea and watching nature. I like gardening, though most of that work is done by gardeners (I am similar to a code reviewer in this scenario). I can’t sit idle and so, whenever I have free time, I am always learning something new.

What do you do at Concentrix Catalyst?

I am a Solutions Architect for Salesforce Marketing Cloud. I propose technical solutions to business problems and ensure that we deliver them. Recently, I helped the team build a proof of concept and demo for clients using Marketing Cloud and Loyalty. Currently, I am working with another client to rearchitect its user interface forms and data integration between Marketing Cloud and Dynamics CRM.

What do you love about your work?

I am passionate about solving complex business problems in the most efficient manner—something that can provide an ‘aha’ moment to customers. I always strive for simple solutions. I love the opportunity provided by Concentrix Catalyst to not only design but also code the solution.

What are you most proud of regarding your work for Concentrix Catalyst?

I did not know a single thing about the Salesforce Loyalty module when I joined. As luck would have it, my first project was 80% Loyalty and 20% Marketing Cloud. But it’s been amazing not only learning loyalty but also implementing the project within tight deadlines.

What is something you’ve learned in your time at Concentrix Catalyst?

Working with people from different offices (including the US, India, and Argentina) has definitely improved my communication skills. It’s great to work with people from other countries as they can add new perspectives to projects and different workflows. Being part of a global team is a great experience!
