DIRECTV is an American direct broadcast satellite service provider.
Challenge
DIRECTV’s long-established, NFL Sunday Ticket platform has been available on desktop and mobile and on most streaming devices in the living room. Moving into the football season, DIRECTV believed that people, not apps are in control. Concentrix Catalyst’s objective was to provide the user more control of their viewing experience; making it a much more focused experience, thus increasing overall engagement.
Solution
DIRECTV engaged Concentrix Catalyst in a defined phase in order to solve this business challenge. The idea was to focus more on games and important streaming elements by providing users with the ability to make custom mixes of up to 4 pieces of video content across DIRECTV’s platforms. This new feature was titled ‘Game Mix’. It provides users with a heightened sense of action and makes sure users never miss a moment.
Concentrix Catalyst designed this new ‘Game Mix’ feature and a new 2017 season design rollout, providing a consistent and streamlined experience across all platforms. The app currently holds a 5-star rating in the App Store, with 52,000 reviews.
